A joint funeral service will be held for longtime New Mexicans Robert Leroy Diehl and Carol (Mills) Diehl. They passed away just weeks apart—he on Jan. 10 and she on Feb. 2. A graveside service will be held Feb. 16 at 1 p.m., at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, with Brandon Shaffer to officiate. Robert Diehl, 74, passed away in Albuquerque. He was born Oct. 9, 1941 in Miami, Florida, to the late Oren and Daphne (Elyea) Diehl. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Diehl. Carol Diehl, also 74, passed away in Albuquerque. She was born on Dec. 6, 1941 in the Western District of Scotland to the late Alexander and Lanna Mills. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.
