Abel Manuel Chavez, 48, passed away on May 11 in Stanley, N.M. Abel was born on December 8, 1969 in Santa Fe. He was a lifetime resident of N.M., a graduate of Moriarty High School in 1989 and a well driller for Dennison Drilling. Abel will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Beatrice Chavez; brother, Geno Chavez and wife Danielle as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. The Rosary will be recited on Wed, May 16, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. The celebration of Mass will be Thurs, May 17, 2018 at 10a.m. Interment will be at the Stanley cemetery in Stanley. Pallbearers will be Leo Dennisson, Hayden Waldorf, Dillon Erwin, Steve Chavez, Tristan Encinias and David Montoya. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his cousins and friends. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris Hanlon in Moriarty.
