Alex Isidro Cordova, 65, passed away on June 8 in Los Lunas. He was born on March 27, 1953 in Santa Rosa to the late Juan and Carmen (Page) Cordova. On May 7, 1983 in Albuquerque, he married Deidre Logston. Alex loved all sports, especially softball and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a lifetime New Mexico resident and will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roque Lopez. Alex is survived by his wife, DeeDee Cordova of Albuquerque; daughters, Sheri Vargas and husband Mike of Albuquerque, and Rachel Cordova-Kelly and husband Perry of Albuquerque; brothers, Manuel Cordova, Juan Cordova, Melvin Cordova and Frank Lopez and sisters, Emma Aragon, Mary Garcia, Marcy Cordova, Rosie Ortiz, Joanne Cordova, Jessica Lopez, Patricia Hawkins and Vickie Lopez; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service is scheduled for June 15 at the Nuestra Señora del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna. The Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. and the Celebration of Mass will follow at 11. Interment will be at the Nuestra Señora del Refugio Catholic Cemetery.
