Antoinette “Toni” J. Maese, 68, passed away on May 19, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on April 22, 1949 to the late Andres and Teresita (Jaramillo) Griego in Cedro. She was a lifetime resident of New Mexico and a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. Toni was an Educational Assistant for 16 years for the Moriarty public schools. Her hobbies and passions included gardening, cooking, camping and traveling. Toni loved to surround herself with family and friends, and loved playing with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Andres Griego Jr., and son, Kenneth Maese Jr. Toni is survived by her husband, Kenneth Maese of Moriarty; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Rebecka Maese of Rio Rancho; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ulysses Anguiano of Eunice; and brother, Michael Griego and wife Bea of Albquerque; five grandchildren, Issac Maese, Dominick Maese, Larissa Maese, Derek Maese and Ulysses Alexander Anguiano. A Rosary was recited May 23 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. The Celebration of Mass will be May 24 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
