A benefit dinner, silent auction, raffle and bingo will be held at the Moriarty Lions Club June 3.
The event will be to raise funds for Amiee Lowry, a mother of two from Moriarty with an aggressive cancer she is currently undergoing treatment for. That’s according to Shelley Seale, who is organizing the fundraiser.
“I am doing this fundraiser for my great friend Amiee,” Seale said. “I met her two years ago when she started making donations to my various other benefits. And then she jumped right in and started volunteering with everything.”
Lowry is a single mother, with children 9 and 11 years old, Seale said, and funds that are raised will help cover medical expenses, living expenses and medication.
Seale is also seeking donations for raffle and bingo prizes and silent auction items.
The fundraiser will feature a spaghetti dinner, with a suggested donation of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10 years old. Raffle tickets will be $1 or six for $5.
