Beryl Dean Martin, 72, passed away at his home in Moriarty on Aug. 27. He was born Feb. 27, 1944, to John and Anna (Clason) Martin in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lillian Mahill, Janice Wright, and Annabelle Compary and brother Rawlen Martin. He is survived by brother, Marion Martin, a sister, Carmen Anne Portwood-Imergoot, children Fred Martin, Lisa O’Shields, Vince Martin and Dixie Martin and 12 grandchildren. He served in the Vietnam War from June, 1965 to March 29, 1967. He received a Vietnam Service Medal, National Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and Marlsman (Rifle M14).
