A public forum for town council candidates is being held in Mountainair on Feb. 14.
The town has six candidates, including two incumbents, vying for two seats on its council.
Those candidates are incumbents Barbara Chung and George Immawahr, who are facing challenges from Michael Hays, Peter Nieto, Adrian Padilla and Ed von Kutzleben.
The forum will be at Mountain Arts on Broadway on Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
The forum will “follow a very specific agenda with the intention of giving town residents as much information from each candidate as possible,” said a press release.
Community members will be asked to submit questions when the come in, which will be put to the candidates after each has given a 5-minute introductory speech. Candidates will then get 2 minutes to respond to the questions.
Early voting is underway starting Feb. 10 for the municipal elections, which will be held March 1 around the state, including several communities in the Tricounty area.
