Cecile Velma Crosswhite, 86, passed away July 9 in Albuquerque. She was born Sept. 16, 1929 in Mason County, Texas, to the late Percy and Myrtle (Thames) Zesch. Cecile was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Buddy Crosswhite; son, Billy Crosswhite and daughter, Peggy Jene Matestas. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Lindy and Maria Crosswhite, Bobby Gene Crosswhite and Tommy Joe and Jacalee Crosswhite; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret Ann and Venses Sanchez and Lorie Elizibeth Gatson. Cecile was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren as well as numerous great-great-grandchildren. A viewing is scheduled for July 13 at Harris Hanlon Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; a graveside service will follow at the Estancia Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mark Meastas, Kenneth Meastas, Carl Crosswhite, Cory Crosswhite, Rick Valdez Jr. and Patrick Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are Maggie Meastas, Venses Sanchez and Chris Lopez.
