Charles Roy Leasure, 80, passed away June 17. He was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Albuquerque, to the late Charles and Henrietta (Spangler) Leasure. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army, was a proud member of the NRA and a N.M. Coon Hound Association. On Feb. 26, 1975 he married Clyrice J. Jones in Moriarty. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Charles Jon Leasure, Roy Scott Leasure and Hank Allen Leasure, and brothers, George Leasure and Paul Leasure. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Clyrice Leasure of McIntosh; daughters, Wanda Sue Constable and husband Daryl of Chocktaw, Okla., Sandra Kay Leasure of Estancia, DeAnn Starkweather and husband Randy of Merced, Calif., and Paula Wharton of McIntosh; brother, John Leasure and sisters, Patricia Patterson, Barbara Granger, Nona Gray, Jeannie Gray and Eilene Lopez; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled July 7 at 10 a.m. at the Estancia Assembly of God Church in Estancia. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.
