The Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative is holding a series of meetings with the public to talk about service charges.
The meetings follow a massive power outage due to a microburst that knocked down 15 power poles, but had been planned before that, according to general manager Matthew Collins.
Collins said the co-op is setting up quarterly meetings with membership to share information and get feedback. The first series is about service charges, “what they are and what they do,” he said.
A meeting was held Aug. 22 in Edgewood.
Upcoming meetings are in Estancia Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Estancia Senior Center; Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Moriarty Senior Center; Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Mountainair Community Building; Aug. 30 at 4:30 p.m. at the Corona Senior Center and Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. at the Vaughn Senior Center.
