Edward Ervin Young, 81, passed away Nov. 2 in Edgewood. He was born Dec. 27, 1935 in Waynesburg, Ohio to the late Edward and Wilma (Walsh) Young. Edward served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 74 in Moriarty. Edward was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty, and moved to New Mexico from Ohio in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Young; son, Christopher Young; sister, Violet Block and brother, Fred Young. Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Young of Edgewood; daughter, Candace Reneker and husband Jack of Albuquerque, and sister, Bonnie Comber of Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty. Reverend Bill Constantine will officiate.
