Elaine Louise Logan, 88, went to heaven on Jan. 18. She spent her remaining hours at home surrounded by her five children, her grandchildren, and her two dogs. Elaine was born in Wichita, Kansas on Jan. 24, 1929. She graduated from the Mennonite Nursing School in Newton, Kansas with a degree in nursing. Elaine was a longtime resident of the East Mountains, and survived her husband, Walter A. Logan, who was a veteran of World War II. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Elaine was a founding member of the Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Edgewood. She was a prayer warrior and taught Sunday School. She lived her life as a child of God. A memorial service will be held Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Edgewood.
