There will be a slight chance of daily rounds of afternoon and evening thunderstorms thru the period. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong; especially Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and hail. However, the better chance of strong to severe thunderstorms will be further to the east of the East Mountains.

High pressure over the Great Basin will slowly move east thru the week. This will result in a gradual drying and warming trend, however there will still be enough moisture for a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. There is the possibility of a strong storm Tuesday and Wednesday; however, the best chance of strong to severe thunderstorms will be to the east of our area.

For the Estancia Valley and the Moriarty areas expect a slow warming trend thru the week with a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and hail. High temperatures Tuesday will be in the middle to upper 70s. Low temperatures Tuesday night will be in the lower to middle 40s. High temperatures Wednesday thru Friday will be in the lower to middle 80s with overnight low temperatures in the middle to upper 40s.

For the Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas expect a slow warming trend thru the week with a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and hail. High temperatures Tuesday will be in the lower to middle 70s. Low temperatures Tuesday night will be around 50 degrees. High temperatures Wednesday will be in the middle to upper 70s. Low temperatures Wednesday night will be in the lower 50s. High temperatures Thursday and Friday will be around 80 degrees. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 50s.
