The monsoon pattern will be in full force right through the week. Weak low pressure in southwest New Mexico will continue to funnel moisture into the East Mountains. This will lead to showers and thunderstorms through the week; mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rain is possible in thunderstorms. Temperatures will be well below normal into the middle of the week. High pressure will build into Texas late in the week. The only difference in the weather will be a slight warmup in temperatures, especially Thursday and Friday.

For the Estancia Valley and the Moriarty areas expect showers and thunderstorms through the week; mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rain is possible in thunderstorms. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will be in the middle 60s. Overnight low temperatures Monday and Tuesday nights will be around 50 degrees. High temperatures Wednesday will be around 70 degrees warming into the middle to upper 70s Thursday and Friday. Overnight low temperatures Wednesday and Thursday nights will be in the lower 50s.

For the Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas expect showers and thunderstorms through the week; mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Heavy rain is possible in thunderstorms. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will be in the middle 60s. Overnight low temperatures Monday and Tuesday nights will be in the lower to middle 50s. High temperatures Wednesday will be around 70 degrees warming into the middle to upper 70s Thursday and Friday. Overnight low temperatures Wednesday and Thursday nights will be in the middle to upper 50s.

Looking past this forecast period into the July 4th weekend it looks like showers and thunderstorms could continue.
