High pressure over southern California will weaken. This will allow Gulf of Mexico moisture and moisture from the Chihuahuan and Sonoran Deserts to continue moving into the East Mountains. As the high pressure area over southern California continues to weaken an area of low pressure will move into New Mexico Wednesday. What is the upshot of all this? There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms thru the week; most numerous Wednesday thru Friday. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain possible.

For the Estancia Valley and the Moriarty areas expect afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms thru the week; most numerous Wednesday thru Friday. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain possible. High temperatures thru the week will be in the middle 80s with overnight low temperatures in the middle to upper 50s.

For the Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas expect afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms thru the week; most numerous Wednesday thru Friday. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain possible. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will be in the middle 80s with overnight low temperatures Monday and Tuesday nights around 60 degrees. High temperatures Wednesday and Thursday will be in the lower to middle 80s. Overnight low temperatures Wednesday and Thursday nights will be around 60 degrees. High temperatures on Friday will be in the middle 80s.
