The Manzano Mountain Art Council is looking for artists for a group show to debut at the grand opening of its new space, formerly the Abó Trading Co.

The show will be themed “Celebrate New Mexico,” and will open May 21, with a reception and grand opening from 1 to 4 p.m.

Art in all mediums are being sought for the show, with a deadline of April 7 for submissions.

An entry fee of $10 per piece, with a maximum of $30 is due upon acceptance of the work; a 20 percent commission will be paid to Manzano Mountain Art Council if a piece is sold.

Works must be ready to hang or display by May 17. The entry form and other information is available at manzanomountainartcouncil.org and artists will be notified by April 22 if their work is accepted for the show.

The Art Council is also holding a design contest for T-shirts for its annual Sunflower Festival. The festival is an annual event in August, with entries for the design contest due by May 15.
