Update: As of 1 p.m. March 16, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department has not identified the murder victim found at Paa-ko Golf Drive and North 14 on Thursday night.
Asked about potential danger to people in the area, department spokeswoman Felicia Maggard said, “I think the community should be concerned any time a body is found. We are working tirelessly to make sure we handle this investigation appropriately. At this time, we don’t have details to release.”
Whether the body had been dumped or if the murder took place where it was found is not being disclosed at this time.
A press release from the department March 15 said the deceased body of a man had been found around 10 p.m. on March 14, “with obvious signs of trauma.”
