Jerry William “J.W.” Gilmore, 69, passed away Nov. 20 in Corona. He was born July 3, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to the late James Harold and Della Faye (Wallace) Gilmore. J.W. served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On July 4, 1992, in Albuquerque, he married Rosetta Lynn Hobbs. J.W. was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corona and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Rosetta; children, Tina and Jesse, Dina Faye and Kat, Justin, Lauri Faye, Nicoma, Randell, Michael and Amber, and Wayne; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Max Gilmore, Deborah and Larry Wines; five generations of nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and three aunts. A funeral service is scheduled Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Corona, with Cal West to officiate. Interment will be at the Corona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randell Warren, Michael Finley, Wayne Finley, Don Riley, Jim Norman and LeRoy Pacheco. Honorary Pallbearers are Max Gilmore, Josh Martin, Jesse Martin, Lon Holleyman and Jack Woodson, Donovon Gilmore, and Larry Wines.
