Joshua Cameron Heid, 11, was granted his angel wings on April 25 in Albuquerque. He was born Oct 6, 2004. Joshua was a 5th-grader at Estancia Elementary School. His passions in life included Thomas the Tank Engine, regular trains and drawing. His adored elephants and collected stuffed animal elephants. He loved to “go fast” in his wheelchair and his big hazel eyes brought joy to all who knew him. Joshua didn’t just smile with his mouth, he smiled with his whole body. He was a pleasure to see in the hallways and classrooms. Joshua was loved and cherished by so many family, friends and teachers and will be deeply missed. He is survived and forever remembered by his parents, Raymond and Lori Heid of McIntosh; sisters, Jilian Heid, Jewlia Heid and Aubrey Lucero of McIntosh; his second mom, Karen Maes; grandfather, Robert Letcher of McIntosh; grandmother, Marilyn Falco of Florida and grandparents Gerard and Patricia Lanoue of South Carolina. Joshua is also survived by his friends and family at Estancia Public Schools. A memorial service is scheduled for May 4 at 1 p.m. at the Estancia High School Gym. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.
