Kalika Pai, Moriarty FFA member, will perform with the National FFA Band from October 28-31 during the 2015 National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville, Kentucky.

Pai, a senior at Moriarty High School and the chapter president, was selected from candidates representing all 50 states, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. She will be playing the saxophone and will join fellow band members at the convention three days early to rehearse. This is all before the group will perform several times during the convention for over 50,000 people.

Pai is also the co-drum major of the Moriarty Pinto Pride Marching Band and has been playing the saxophone for six years.

She was one of two people chosen for the band in New Mexico. Approximately 80 students were selected for the band altogether.
