My name is Jessica Garcia, a graduate from Estancia High School. It really didn’t hit me that I was graduating until I received my cap and gown, but it was then that I realized that my senior year went by way too fast. Graduating and moving on to college is exciting yet nerve-racking at the same time.
In second grade, Mrs. Solomon read our class a book about the Solar System and since then I have been interested in astronomy and building new things. Therefore, my future plans would encompass me achieving a higher education and earning my Master’s degree in both Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico State University.
I am determined to work for NASA at the Johnson’s Space Center in Houston, Texas developing new technologies and making many advancements. Someday I hope to launch up to the International Space Station to make improvements and conduct different studies. I am ready to reach new horizons and know that I will achieve my goals with the help of God.
