Families and children stop by one of the booths to pick their own pumpkins Saturday afternoon at the Chunkin Pumpkin event. 
Evaleen Mora, 6, and her brother Elias Mora, 3, ride one of the many festival rides during Saturday’s Punkin Chunkin event in Estancia. The event is family friendly and offers a variety of activities.
Festival goers take a break from watching the Chunkin Punkin contest by riding the ferris wheel. Not only does the festival offer the traditional launching of the pumpkins, but the event is family friendly along with carnival rides, costume contests, food and vendors.
