Ray Dean Slocter, 86, passed away in Edgewood on Jan. 1. He was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Chelsea, Okla., to the late Raymond and Lena (Ketchum) Slocter. Ray lived in New Mexico for 20 years. He is also preceded in death by his brother Howard Slocter. Ray is survived by his son, Chuck Slocter of Edgewood and sister, Joanna. He was blessed with two grandchildren. Per the family’s wishes no services are scheduled at this time.
