A shooting in Albuquerque led Albuquerque Police to a remote area off Juan Tomas, where they found the suspect they were looking for had committed suicide. That’s according to APD spokesman Mike Schroeder.

Schroeder said that a witness led detectives to the East Mountain location after a shooting at 7900 Jacs NE in Albuquerque. As of Tuesday afternoon, police said the victim of that shooting was in critical condition.

Neither man’s name was released by police as The Independent went to press. Schroeder said the suspect in that shooting had not been named yet because his family had not been notified of his death.
