After trailing at halftime, Moriarty’s girls basketball team rallied to a 48-41 victory over district-rival St. Pius X and remain undefeated in District 5-5A.

Estancia’s boys basketball team improved its overall record to 19-4 with a 61-29 district victory last Friday over the visiting Native American Community Academy. The Bears play NACA again tonight. The Lady Bears lost last Saturday 67-47 at Cuba.

East Mountain’s girls and boys basketball teams faced district-rival Ruidoso twice in four days and both squads got swept. The girls lost 63-31 Monday at Ruidoso after losing 57-31 at home last Friday; the boys lost 71-52 Monday after falling 56-53 at home Friday.

Manzano lost last Thursday to visiting Sandia, 52-36.
