Santa Fe-based attorney Charles V. Henry IV of the law firm Friedman Walcott Henry and Winston LLC is the only listed agent for the recent purchaser of the infamous Zorro Ranch north of Stanley.

Previously owned by dishonored financier Jeffrey Epstein, the 7,575-acre ranch that also include 423 acres of leased land from the Bureau of Land Management was sold some two years after it was put up for sale.

The sprawling ranch that he bought in 1993 includes a three-story, 30,000-square-foot house that was designed by Alberto Pinto and includes a gym, a large indoor pool and a formal library, according to Sotheby's International Realty.

The property also sports a 4,400-feet-long private, grass air strip in addition to a hangar and helipad. The compound also has a separate area featuring small homes, studio, casitas and garages.

A greenhouse, firehouse, a seven-bay heated garage, a lodge, a log cabin, a yurt and an additional guesthouse are among the other on-site structures, as well as equestrian facilities that includes an eight-stall barn with a tack room, an arena for equestrian activities and an exterior, gated horse run.

Henry represents the buyer, San Rafael Ranch, LLC, which registered in New Mexico as a Domestic Limited-Liability Company on July 28. Henry did not respond to a voice mail this week requesting comment.

New York attorney Daniel H. Weiner, whose firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP has been representing the Epstein Estate, confirmed the sale, but would not disclose the sale price.

It was originally on the market for $27.5 million and the asking price was reportedly later lowered $18 million.

“The Estate will disclose the sale in its next quarterly accounting to be filed in the St. Thomas, USVI probate court,” Weiner wrote in an email.

Proceeds of the sale will “be used for Estate administration, including payment of creditors,” he added.

Epstein – a globetrotting celebrity financier -- was arrested in July 2019 and charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking. Bail was denied prior to his trial.

Already a convicted sex offender who had earlier served 13 months for solicitation of a minor in Florida, Epstein committed suicide in jail in August 2019.

His known associates, among others, included former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, as well as Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
