The heat switch remains in the ON position for the weekend. High pressure will remain over the Four Corners region Friday and Saturday. At the same time a very weak low pressure system will clip the New Mexico-Colorado border. This will lead to a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. High pressure will edge south into southern Arizona on Sunday. This will allow a drier and hotter airmass to move into the East Mountains.

For Edgewood, Moriarty and the Estancia Valley, Friday and Saturday will be hot with a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. High temperatures Friday and Saturday will be in the middle 90s. Overnight low temperatures Friday and Saturday nights will be in the lower to middle 50s. Sunday will be hot and dry.
