Strong high pressure along the Arizona-Utah border will suppress thunderstorm activity Friday and Saturday and keep temperatures hot. A strong backdoor cold front will move across the East Mountains Saturday night. This will bring a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday along with cooler temperatures. The thunderstorms could be strong on Sunday with heavy rain possible.

For Edgewood, Moriarty and the Estancia Valley, there will be a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will be hot with high temperatures in the lower to middle 90s and overnight low temperatures around 60 degrees. There will be a good chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. The thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain possible. It will be cooler on Sunday with high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s.

For Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas, there will be a slight chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will be hot with high temperatures around 90 degrees Friday and in the lower to middle 90s Saturday. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 60s. There will be a good chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. The thunderstorms could be strong with heavy rain possible. It will be cooler on Sunday with high temperatures in the lower 80s.
